Would you like to have a never ending supply of inspiration?

This is not so much a Tip as it is a Strategy

Barry Dunlop here - One thing that people ask us over and over is

where do all our great ideas come from? How come we have so many

ideas, suggestions for the businesses we consult and coach with?

Well, truthfully we wish we could just say we were super creative

geniuses.

[ Actually, at least one of us is that  -- we will let you guess

who ;-) ]

Anyway, the fact is that a large amount of our inspiration just

comes from daily events, things we read, things we see.

If you train your self to NOTICE / look at the world from a buzz

marketing viewpoint, you will be surprised just how many good ideas

you will observe -- that could be applied to your industry with

little or no adaption.

Let us give just a few examples from the past week.

1) I am currently looking at buying some property in France and

one property I got the details of this week was in fact an old

Winery that had been remodeled, brought back to life by some

property developers. (Converted to apartments)

Nothing that unusual about that, but the property developers had

hit on a novel idea to get more buyers by also restoring the actual

winery and producing wine again. In fact the owners of the

apartments would each receive 300 bottles of wine every year from

their very own winery. I have not bought, but apparently there

has been significant interest from people who fancy the idea of

saying they are drinking their own produced wine.

The interesting point here, is that I believe the developers

are charging a premium for their development - probably far more

than the cost of 300 bottles of wine for many years to come.

2) Did you know that in the last week we had National Cleavage Day?

National Days are great ways to get buzz / publicity. What could

you create a National Day for?

You can have a National Day for just about any product or activity

you like.

e.g. National Left Handed Persons Day (Great if you are selling

products especially for left handed people)

OR National {Name Of Product You Sell} Day

3) The third example is not really inspiration -- more a reminder

that some times change is the last thing you should do in a business.
