Do You Have a University on Wheels?

BuzzProfits Tip of the Week
=====================

I recently have been attending university for approx 90 minutes per day. This is unlike any other university on the planet though... in fact, this university is one of the fastest moving universities on the planet... literally.

Oh, and it has 4 wheels, an engine, and was made by Peugot.

That's right, my car has become my traveling university... and today I will show you why you should create your own mobile uni, and, how to do it.

First things first, why bother?

Well, all successful people know that it is the knowledge in their heads that is the single most valuable asset they own. You can take away their bank accounts, flash cars, offices, contacts and staff, and they will bounce right back, due solely to their knowledge.

However, we are bombarded with so many distractions these days, it is really hard to sit down for 2 hours with a book. I am personally guilty of choosing a video game or TV show over a book on numerous occasions... and these distractions are the key problem.

Firstly, you will need a portable cd player or ipod. Or, a car with a cd or mp3 player built into it.

Secondly, you need to start changing the types of content you get.

Instead of reading web pages, ebooks, white papers etc... try and get audio books, DVDs or podcasts.

Sites like Audible.com or iTunes are ideal for this, as are sites like PodcastAlley.com

Since moving into an office, I now travel up to 90 minutes per day, and let's be honest, there is nothing else to do in a car, so you actually look forward to listening to your training material.

What's more, you dont have TV, Xbox, phone calls, The Internet, friends etc in your car to distract you.

If you travel to work via public transport or you walk, that is fine too, just get an ipod.

If possible, try and get two ipods, one for your music, the other for your studies... afterall, if there is a choice between learning and listening to your favourite music, you are likely to choose the music.

This is a great way to learn new skills and perfect existing skills... so try it next time you are out and about.

Have a great weekend.
