Content comes in many styles, there is the story, there is the tutorial, there is the how-to, there is a rant, there is a standard article... and many more...

But one style of content consistently gets more clicks, more visitors, more readers, more attention, more links, more social media success and a whole lot more as well.

In fact, writing content in the style I am about to show you, has increased traffic for clients of ours by over 2000% in under 3 months.

I don't need to tell you how important that is.

So, if you have a content-based site, e.g a blog, an article site, a review site, a portal etc... then this could transform your success.

The style of content is called "list-based content", and it is likely you have seen this style of content before.

For example:

The 7 Most xxxxxx

The 5 Biggest xxxxx

Top 9 Reasons Why xxxx

The 101 Tricks to xxxx

etc....

Now, you may have seen content in this style, but you may not be aware WHY lists are so powerful.

I could spend hours explaining all the reasons, but here are just a few of the reasons why people love lists:

1) People have short attention spans (especially online) - The list tells them exactly what the content contains, and so they don't have tp read through hundreds of words to get to the meat of the content.

2) People can skim through lists - This appeals to laziness, people can skim a list, but it hard to skim a story or article.

3) Curiosity - People want to see what are the 7 biggest, or the 9 best, or the 12 weirdest xxxxx and they will click to feed their curiosity.

4) Killer Headlines - Writing great headlines is tough. But when you create a list, you automatically have an instant, attention grabbing headline with zero effort.
